Social Enterprise

Empowering Indigenous Communities through Streetwear

At Red Rebel Armour, we are dedicated to creating positive change within Indigenous communities by combining streetwear fashion with social enterprise.

Our mission is to provide meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who have re-entered society after involvement with the criminal justice system, while promoting Indigenous culture and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Indigenous peoples.

  1. Social Enterprise Model:

Red Rebel Armour operates on the service subsidization model. The service subsidization model of social enterprise sells products or services to an external market and uses the income it generates to fund its social programs. The service subsidization model is usually integrated: business activities and social programs overlap, sharing costs, assets, operations, income and often program attributes.

  1. Employment and Re-entry Support:

We prioritize the employment and empowerment of Indigenous individuals who have experienced involvement with the criminal justice system. We offer comprehensive training programs that focus on job skills development, personal growth, and cultural awareness. These programs aim to equip individuals with the necessary tools to succeed in the workplace and rebuild their lives.

  1. Indigenous Cultural Representation:

Indigenous culture lies at the heart of Red Rebel Armour. We collaborate with Indigenous artists, designers, and artisans to create unique and authentic designs that celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of Indigenous peoples. By incorporating culturally significant symbols, patterns, and artwork into our streetwear, we aim to foster a sense of pride, identity, and connection among our customers and the wider community.

  1. Community Engagement:

Red Rebel Armour believes in giving back to Indigenous communities. We actively engage with local Indigenous organizations, schools, and community centers to organize workshops, cultural events, and mentorship programs. By establishing these partnerships, we strive to create a supportive network that empowers Indigenous individuals and promotes cultural preservation.

  1. Ethical and Sustainable Practices:

Environmental responsibility and ethical sourcing are fundamental principles of Red Rebel Armour. We prioritize sustainable production methods and use eco-friendly materials whenever possible. Our commitment extends to fair trade practices, ensuring that the Indigenous artisans and communities we collaborate with receive fair compensation for their contributions.

  1. Social Impact Measurement:

Red Rebel Armour is committed to transparency and accountability. We regularly measure and assess our social impact, tracking key metrics such as employment rates, recidivism reduction, and community engagement. By doing so, we continuously evaluate our programs and initiatives, making data-informed decisions to maximize our positive influence.

Red Rebel Armour envisions a future where Indigenous communities thrive, where individuals are given equal opportunities for growth and empowerment, and where Indigenous culture is celebrated and preserved. By combining fashion with social enterprise, we believe we can make a lasting impact on the lives of Indigenous individuals and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.

Join us on this journey as we weave together fashion, social responsibility, and Indigenous resilience to create a brighter future for all.
